Payment Method
Yotpo.com allows payments for plans via bank transfer or credit card. To switch payment methods from bank transfer to credit card, the following steps are followed:
- Click on Manage payments next to Your Plans.
- A popup appears where one can identify which plans are paid for by credit card and which by bank transfer.
- Click on Pay by credit card, then confirm.
- All plans that were in the Bank Transfer section now appear in the Credit Card section.
- If the account does not have credit card details, a popup appears where credit card details can be entered.
- Click Save changes to finish.
To update credit card details:
- Click Edit next to Credit Card Details.
- Enter new details, then click Save.
This will update the card details for any plans paid for by credit card. If the payment method needs to be changed from credit card to bank transfer, contacting a Yotpo representative is necessary. The return policy on Yotpo.com is primarily related to the points system in their loyalty program. Here's how it works:
- If a customer's order is marked as Refunded in Shopify, any points earned from the purchase will be removed from that customer's account.
- It is possible for a customer's point balance to be negative in certain situations. For example, if the customer submits a purchase and gets points, then applies those points towards another purchase, then returns the first item. The points will be removed from their account, but they've already "spent" them, resulting in a negative point balance.
- If a customer earned points on a purchase and then that purchase is partially refunded, their points are reversed. They then earn points only for the remaining amount. For example: If a customer earned 100 points for spending $100, and is then partially refunded $75, the number of points earned would get reduced to 25 - the remaining amount paid by the customer.
- If a customer earned points on a purchase and applies those points towards a purchase, and then that purchase is partially refunded, Yotpo will not return the points used to redeem the reward coupon but will only return points for the amount returned.
